I have an app with 3 widgets. Everything works 100% here. When pushing an updated version through ADB the widgets remain configured and work fine after the update.
When updating with Google Play on my Samsung Tab 2 running Android 4.3 it works fine too.
However, on a Samsung S4 running 4.4.2 after a Google Play update:
1. The Widgets have disappeared from the home screen.
2. In the Apps/Widgets screen, each widget has two entries. According to a user, very time he gets an update, more widget entries appear in this list.
Has anybody else experienced this? Any clues to what is going on?
