Lots of space is lost in desktop browser

Lots of space is lost here in desktop browser. It is Ok in mobile browser.
Can it be fixed ?

Whether space is "lost" or not is highly personal. For me that space seems just fine, and doesn't require being "fixed".

However, as I also have opinions on some few sites, I have installed an extension to tweak their css just for me. I'd recommend you do the same to pack the page to your liking.

1) it is only for Chrome - I prefer Firefox
2) can you create your custom style or do you have to choose one of those provided?
3) generally speaking, plugins are dangerous

I've decreased the margins. There is another element there on the right which takes some space.
