I am migrating software from an old windows Vista machine to a newer windows 10 machine. My old machine has a version 6.5 B4A. Do i have to somehow install my old version 6.5 on my new machine and then upgrade to the new version 9 or will the new version 9 do a complete install from scratch when i upgrade? And will i use my current license file or will i get a new one when i upgrade? Thanks ...

Personally .. I would not bother reinstalling your current version on the new win 10 machine.
Just install the new/latest version after purchase .. which should come with a fresh license.
