Is there a way to force the android software to release and renew a wired ethernet IP address? I am using Android mini PCs to display kiosk non-interactive reports throughout a facility. Most of the time it is working fine, but I have had 3 instances of duplicate IP addresses in use concurrently. It appears that the devices when hard wired are ignoring the DHCP expiration and continue to use the original IP address. So far I have corrected the problem by swapping out the USB to Ethernet devices but can not see that as a long term solution.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
