My development PC has both LAN and Wireless adaptors, to the same router. The LAN adaptor has a fixed IP address of 192.168.1.11. The wireless adaptor has its IP address assigned by DHCP from the router - it's on an Infinite lease, so it's always 192.168.1.120. The phone's WiFi IP address is similarly router-DHCP assigned, it's always 192.168.1.121.
Unless I disable the PC's Lan adaptor, the B4A bridge connection is unreliable, in that although both the Basic4Android status bar, and the B4A-Bridge app indicate 'Connected', the .apk often - not always - fails to download.
Now that I know the solution (after much initial head-scratching!), it's no longer an issue, but I'm curious to know why this might be.
