Is there a way to mute/unmute system volume on Windows 7 (or in general in 7, 8, 10) ?

Just for the record, what I found so far is to use jshell (https://www.b4x.com/android/forum/threads/jshell-library.34661/) in combination with NirCmd (http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/nircmd.html).
