Share My Creation My servers check app

finished writing my Android servers check app. It's only for a couple of users here at the company but I took pains to make it both work and look nice. My policy is even on stuff just for my own use to do production quality work. That way, when you really need production quality on a project, it comes quick and easy. Practice counts. ;-) Among the things I learned in doing this project was that my servers were not in synch timewise. Who knew? some have been off for years. No problem takes 10 seconds to install NTP on them, now they synch over the internet and all are the same. ... Below, some captures from my Droid 2 of the app in operation.

used Webviews with a couple of short PHP scripts on each server.

heh, heh ... it just occurred to me that i can use all those zillions of 3D buttons I created while writing my GOOGLE APP INVENTOR book in B4A!

They work just as well here. Couple of examples below.

this is turning into a useful learning experience, plus one of my servers actually crashed this afternoon and I caught it with this app! ;-)

added a splash page (photo of some of the servers being monitored) and another server to track.

fun!
