B4J Question Need some suggestions for my project

Hello everyone, I was viewing the MQTT chat room tutorial. And now my application in mind is using Raspberry pi as server and android devices as clients..similar to the chat room example but the client side receives notifications(running in background) instead. And I just want to ask if the application I want to build is possible and I really appreciate your inputs before starting.
BTW just want to add that for start I would like to use LAN connection.

Yes, it is possible. Note that MQTT is not a server / clients solution. There are only clients. You can make the Raspberry Pi client act as a server.
