New To Android Development

Hi so I decided to write myself a little program for my work.
(I am a flight instructor)

I have a little Delphi 7 knowledge from school, so I'm not a complete noob :D

Now the program I want to write is this:

1. I have about 18 word documents on lectures, I would like to put it all on my phone as an app that I can quickly switch between lectures (I know I wont be able to give lectures from my phone, this is just for backup, quick reference outside the classroom)

2. Then the second part is probably the more tricky part for me.
I would like to add a few extra tools, as I might want to sell this one day.
'Tools' I would like to add would be things such as station weather reports, crosswind calculators etc (much like the aviation pocket knife that you can find on the android marketplace)

Now before I get shot at, this is mainly for personal use, and the mention of selling is just for future reference :D

I currently use a Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Pro with CM7Mini Pro (Android 2.3.7)

So what I'm trying to ask here is:
Is this possible with little/no knowledge?
Does anyone have specific tutorials/reading material they think I need to go over?

Thanks in advance

edit: oh by the way, I'm still downloading everything, I haven't had time to play around with this myself yet

It certanly is possible, but will require a steep learning curve from you...
Also, I don't thinks that you can acomplish it without multiple activities and/or without using libraries, so you would eventually have to buy a B4A license.
