No LED-Flashlight while scanning barcodes (ABZxing Library)

Hello,

I am using the ABZxing library to scan barcodes. This works quite perfekt, many thanks to Alain Bailleul.

For improving results in shady places, I want to set the camera flashlight on.

I am able to set the flashlight in torch mode with the the advanced camera library (ACL) or the CameraEX Class.

But then I can no longer scan barcodes. An error message apears ("Barcodescanner - Failure with cam, try to reboot the device").

I think, the problem could probably be that both librarys interact with the camera device.

Is there any way to solve this problem?

If you are using CameraEx then you need to call CloseNow method instead of Close: http://www.b4x.com/forum/additional...amera-library-functionality-9.html#post153510

I'm not sure whether the flash will stay on or not. You need to test it.

:-( Thanks, but unfortunately the flash will not stay on, after CloseNow is excecuted.

Flashing LED by Zxing App directly

I could not accomplish to activate the LED by code but as an makeshift arrangement, it is now possible to set ledflash on by Zxing App (Settings).
