Oh dear - I need a faster 'phone!

I have just run a personal hobby app on my 'phone in release mode - and it ran faster in debug mode on the Android emulator on my laptop.

Any suggestions for a cheap 'phone with a decent processor, just for development? I don't want to give up my trusty Cat-phone for everyday use, as it has been dropped, sunk, buried in sand, and I even once managed to drop it when riding a horse!

Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite is the best cheap phone I've ever bought.

Thanks - that looks good, and a lot of 'bang for the buck - £108 from eBay UK, although I am a little nervous about Xiaomi.

I once bought a Xiaomi router - just a hardware box with some firmware, and it couldn't be configured without agreeing to a licence agreement that included such things as never saying derogatory things about China or the Chinese government.

It was back in the shop in less than an hour! (EU law stipulates that any product may be returned if a licence agreement is not visible at the point of sale.)

This looks good - I can find one in Cyprus. As a small island, the choice is not as wide as in mainland Europe, and the postal service here is dire!
