Can something like this be done directly through B4A app?
Of course, user needs to enable Accessibility option.

Another option is Voice Actions (Marshmellow+)

The last time that I checked it custom voice actions were not completely supported.

I tried the tasker method and it works well. I wonder if it was possible for B4A app to intercept Google Now searches.

Yes, that works.

But I'm developing a home automation app and want to support commands like 'turn ON the TV' or 'switch off lights'.

Can I register my app with keywords like TV, lights, etc?
