iOS Question Old iPad wont load B4i-Bridge

Is there a min version of IOS that the B4i-Bridge needs to run. I have a REALLY old iPad that I wanted to load 1 app on

iOS 8 is the minimum version.

Could I use my mini Mac as a local builder and put it on the iPad?

Yes.

i tried the local builder option but when the builder gets about 3/4 of the way installing on the iPad it stops, hangs and doesnt complete. Would an older version of the local builder and B4i work? Do you have older versions available?

5.1.1, iPad 1 that I want to use a simple program on the shop floor

You cannot use it. When B4i was released it worked with iOS 7+. Now you will need iOS 9+.
