Open tty port

Hi everyone,

I bought Basic4Android and I'm very happy how it's easy to build apps...

Now I need to connect an external device that have a FTDI chip (serial to usb adaptator) to my Android tablet with 2.2 version.
I'm able to open the port tty and get data coming from my device using the terminal.
Now I need to build my app ... but I don't find any way to open the port and the serial library open the bluetooth port ....
Does someone know how to open and get (and send) data over a tty port ?

FTDI has developed a driver for Android, I guess it can be converted to a B4A library, but I don't know how...

The driver above requires Android 3.0.

Which terminal?

You can try opening the port like you open a file. See this for an example: AsyncStream: ttyS0 as java.io.InputStream / OutputStream ?
