H iall,

Hope this is the right place. I've been asked to assist raising funds for UK Liver Transplant Charities (I myself am a recipient) and part of this will be people using their android phones to look at up to date data in real-time. This will mean data (simply names and numbers) being entered onto a PC and FTP up to a website (or cloud) and then the App will regularly contact the site and pull down the text file (I guess) file to see the latest information displayed on the their screens. This is the option chosen although there are many, of course so any advice please only on this option.
I'm looking for coding, hints, tutorials etc or if someone wants to write it (it is for charity OR simply help) then please contact me either here or via my e-mail.
I'm using Basic4Android, Asus, HTC Desire and a PC.
The PC and FTP to a server part is not a problem. I'm happy to be guided only and am OK to give credit where it's due.

Hopefully thanks.

Hi,

if you need any help i will give some time, I'm definitely not the greatest programmer on this forum, but the offer is there.

If you can let me know more details i will help in any way possible, as i think its a great cause.

Keep up the good work

Thanks guys for the replies.

I will let you know the details via e-mail if you contact me on kevin.cook'AT'terraphotography.co.uk.
Briefly this will form part of an awareness and money raising charity event for liver tranplantation. Involved will be the national organisations such as the Liver Trust and transplant hospitals and since it also has a radio amateur link (many transplant patients are radio hams) some of the national and international players in that field.
This is early days but we would like to test and sort some of the technical stuff early on, hence the request for help now.

Thanks again Guys,

Kevin.
