Android Question Package name different?

Does Google Play accept the update of an APP with a package name different from the APP already published?

I did not published anything on Google Play but I think the answer should be NO.
Because it would be a different app and not an update of the existing one.

I publish my apps in Google Play and confirm the answer of Sagenut , but why do you want to change the package name?
