I remember being at a computer fair back in... 1990? Maybe early 1991? One booth had a Mac running Photoshop and no staff nearby. I happened to have a disk just like that available so I thought it would be worth a try. Popped it into the mac and copied the full Photoshop version 1 onto the disk. Ejected the disk and walked away like a smooth criminal.
First released in 1991, Microsoft Visual Basic was a programming environment where one could build an application by visually creating the user interface first, and then adding code. In contrast, even the smallest Visual Basic basic programs could take reams of program code to write in C or C++...

I found Pick here, I was wondering what happened to this. This is how I got introduced to coding when I started working. This IT company poached me due to being inquisitive about things and they introduced me to this and VB and windows 95 at the time. I remember installing VB using 30 or more floppy disks at the time.
As times went by we got into using Universe Objects with vb6.

Oh, you still have that animal?!! MS jumped from VB1 to VB3. never published VB2. I then used VB3 + DBase 4 and crystal reports in the early 90ties. I hope I can find that 3.5" floppy disk reader. I have some games source codes for DOS vb 4.5, beside the compiler.

Yeah, that was a picture of the book that I had handy.
As far as needing a floppy disk reader, there are utilities out there that can mount and IMG file and create a windows drive letter - This might work: https://imdisktoolkit.com/

I recently wrote a program using Microsoft Visual Basic 1.0. I have a Book 8088 running DOS 6.22 and wanted a hint program for the Scott Adams adventures, as well as a retro programming experience. The program has all the hints for 16 adventures.
