Kind of reminds me of something I heard many years ago. Somebody was helping a new user on how to use their Linux computer. It went something like this:

So one of the things that are great to do once you've installed everything and have your documents in order on your computer is to type rm -rf / in a terminal window. That might sound cryptic, but it's really quite simple once you understand it. Let me explain:

rm = read mail
-rf = really fast, meaning it downloads the mails faster
/ = start from the root, meaning your inbox folder

Great friends...
Kind of reminds me of something my friend Martin did many years ago. This was probably 1997, and people were starting to understand that this "Internet" was a thing. And with it, there was this exciting thing "email".

Martin was quite into tech and had a good understanding of things, but one thing he lacked was patience for clueless people - something that was known by all people around him.

So when a cousin of his had managed to find the courage to call Martin and very humbly ask Martin what he should do to get this "email" thing, Martin managed to muster energy to not be instantly rude. Instead he pointed a firm finger at hotmail.com, which had launched a year earlier. The cousing thanked Martin so much for taking time to help him and finished the call.

Several days later the cousin called Martin again, apologizing over and over, but he was having problems finding how to register for an email address - even though he's been on the site for hours trying.

After some back-and-forth, Martin was surprised - why couldn't he find how to register for an email address at Hotmail? It's the main thing on the homepage, how hard could it be? Just before Martin decided the cousin was a hopeless case, he decided to give him a slight bit of support. So he started asking what the cousin saw when he visited the site. The cousin described, which only made Martin more and more confused. Until he made the cousin spell out what url he was actually visiting.

Turns out the cousin hadn't visited hotmail.com, instead he had entered hotmale.com, which is a quite different site.

To this day Martin laughs so hard he's getting problems breathing when he talks about his cousin cruising the content of hotmale.com, desperate to find out how to register an email address.

True story. :)

Maybe nowadays his cousin has two account. One in hotmail and one in hotmale.

I remember first times I received emails from hotmail accounts I was not sure if they was from friends, or some kind of advertisement from hot sites
