I've looked at nsbasic and basic4ppc in the past, and had decided that basic4ppc was likely the one for me, but now I don't even see basic4ppc in the downloads/purchase, although this forum is obviously still here. I gather from reading posts that there won't be further development on it.
I'm a bit at a loss to understand. I realize that everyone is moving to smartphones, and basic4android is the main product for basic4, but what about rugged devices. MS’s site is very confusing – I think I see 6 different operating systems for mobile. They say they will continue to support rugged devices with ‘Windows Embedded Handheld’ or ‘Windows Mobile 6.5’.
Is basic4ppc still available? Would it work on these rugged devices running WM 6.5 or WE Handheld? Does anyone know what developers are using for these devices?
