Hi,
I'm currently using the trial version and know already that ill be purchasing (this is a great IDE for Android dev - big-up Eril !!!)

Just wondered:

If standard_version = includes_2_months_of_upgrades AND
enterprise_version = includes_2_years_of_upgrades THEN

:)

Question: how often do upgrades to B4A occur - since i've never encountered
an app where the difference in price is distinguished purely by upgrade package offered. This would be the crux of the decision-making before purchase i suppose.

much thanks,
member of only 4 days - lovin' B4A already :sign0098:

Uptil now Erel has been releasing a new version every 2 months or so ...

so, I would go for the professional version ... (as I did)

Thanks for that Erel (not Eril as in my original post, sorry) - seems worth while to go for enterprise as ive just read about the next version (beta) with the script designer feature - i'd hate to miss such a useful feature (btw would that version, once out of beta, be classed as an upgrade?)

yeah, i guess from the user feedback im reading on the site that there's an active 'wish-list' with targets actually being met (unlike some Android builders s/ware ive been using). Enterprise seems like a reall steal at the price now UK sterling.

I'm fairly new here too and new to b4a. This is a wonderful Android development environment (b4a). But what makes this whole b4a experience so great is the support. This is a very active forum and you'll get a lot of help if and when you need it. Erel is very active monitoring the posts and jumping a lot to answer questions. There are others who are very experienced and they will help you and share their wisdom.

I'm not the sharpest developer but everyone has been extremely helpful and patient with me in answering my questions. And I'm sure many times they have rolled their eyes but they have answered my questions many times without judgement.

So join us and you'll never regret it...and welcome!!

absolutely, and hello to you from the sunny(not) UK , rfresh.
I spent 6 months of last year writing my fist droid app and struggling with the Java language (as a pro PHP developer) and also tackling the Eclipse enviro' and i can tell you it aint easy. I did VB6 many years ago and ive been looking for a good excuse to learn VB.Net and i guess this is it - B4A has really wetted my appetite for VB again.

I reckon ill have something ready for the market in days rather than months.
