Android Question private sign key

I am not able to sign my application and install it on the phone.
After using private sign key, once i try to install my app on phone, i get 'app not installed'. Then i go back to private sign key setup and select "use debug key', and then it installs. I am using android v9.8 and latest sdk tools.

use the private sign key. DEINSTALL your old installed app before you install the new one.

Away from that you are not giving any useful information.

Uninstalling old app and re-installing with private key works !!

The point is that you can not install a app with a signkey X when there is an app installed already with signkey Y.
