Problems with Gingerbread

Hello all, this is more of a head's up than a request for help. I recently updated two Droidx phones from Froyo to Gingerbread, both have the same issues.
1. the default button color is now white, instead of the nice light gray.
2. corners on buttons are square instead of round unless using gradient colors
3. Apps like google street view and google sky no longer work correctly: when you hold the phone vertically east and west are reversed, horizontal orientation works OK. This has been reported widely on the net. I tried two other apps like google sky, same problem. My compass and sensors seem to work OK.

So, if you are having issues reported by your customers, check if they have Gingerbread.

I spoke with my carrier Verizon, they are going to help me "downgrade" to froyo!

Hi Brad.. I'm glad to report that Verizon/Motorola updated the affected systems recently and all of the problems I experienced were fixed. The appearance of the default button colors is still different, but that just says we should program the shape/color we want, not rely on the default. This was purely a problem with Gingerbread on the droid series. However, my neighbor recently showed me his tablet with Honeycomb.. same issues as I described in my earlier post. I guess it's not a perfect world, folks!
