Seems like a problem in your phone. The "Unable to open log..." message is created by the native layer.

You can try restarting the phone.

restart didn't help.
Can I just create the directory: "/dev/log/main" in the root of the phone (or shld it go somewhere else)?

Which device are you using?

This file is supposed to be created by the phone's internal logging system.

It is possible that logs are disabled in this ROM. Try to search google with this error.

OK. I went to Recovery mode, used the options under "TWEAK Options" and Enabled Logging.

Now I can see the log, but 3 questions arise:

1) Why does it say NOT RECOMMENDED when in the enable logging menu of the recovery? What are the implications of enabling logging?

2) I still can't find the "/dev/log/main" folder. Is it hidden so I can't see it unless i root the machine (don't know if it's rooted or not)

3) Will the unseen log file continue to grow with everything I do on the phone (running my apps, running other apps, send msgs, answer phone, surf web,...)?

Logging are enabled in the non-custom ROMs. So I don't know why your ROM say that it is not recommended.
This folder is restricted.

The logs will not continue to grow. Their size is kept constant.

OK. Using Astro I found /dev/log folder and i can see main there but it reports size of 0 (and attribute of --w), even while pgm running form B4A IDE on the phone, is that normal?
