Proper height of checkbox on any device

I want to display views right under a checkbox.

I can measure the text height of the text with the stringutils fuction MeasureMultilineTextHeight

But how can I determine the size necessary to display the entire check box icon? To my best guess it's 48 x 48 pixels, but is it on any device? Or should I use 48dip as minimum height?

I think its usually 48dip.

Thanks for the link. I read the pages and will stick to 48dip for now.
