Android Question .Put vs .Set

Whilst using a KVS situation to save data, I am trying to determine if like .Set, does .Put overwrite the existing data? Or does one require the use of .Remove prior to updating the entry?

Thanks in advance

It seems inefficient, dragging in more variables, despite short lived ones.

It's not as bad as it looks. 🍻

It's not copying the list data about or creating new or temporary lists. They are just pointers to the existing lists, giving you a "handle" to hold onto them and directly access them without having to continually access (.Get) them from the lists above them that they are in.

In fact, it's probably more efficient and faster than accessing a multiple-dimension array, where all the subscripts are re-evaluated each time an access is made.

i have to stop thinking computers are as old as i am. My old XT 4.7Mz from 1989 was a boat anchor. Batch and dos only.
I will relook at the options proposed and find the one that fits my needs the best. Cheers.

Off to look for some utopia on youtube. It's not licensed for overseas viewing yet. Cheers mate!

cheated with gerry and jerry?

I was thinking that I cheated with Xi. Because all the others sound like something-y whereas Xi doesn't have that cadence.

But if the test is just that it has to end in an "ee" sound, then Xi fits.

Or we could go with "Xavi". Average 160 per year (in USA) can't be wrong.

This is list of male X-ee names for 2023, where at least 5 babies received the name:

Xavi,M,118
Xolani,M,11
Xanti,M,10
Xamari,M,9
Xacari,M,8
Xi,M,7
Xakari,M,6
Xabi,M,5
Xandri,M,5

Unexpectedly, all the X-y names were female:

Xitlaly,F,39
Xoey,F,28
Xolany,F,6
Xareny,F,5
