Hi all.

Anyone put a Raspberry Pi and a LCD together yet? I was thinking of using B4J and creating a sound machine, you know, rain, wind and such. I was looking at LCD's on E-bay but have no idea what works with what and what is easy or not.

The display costs 30 Euro. Here is a video with the display in action: youtube link

2 line LCD
This LCD costs 19 Euro. But it has the benefit of an I2C controller, otherwise the most GPIO pins are in use with the display. And it has five buttons free to use (e.g. for menu control).

I think the 2 line LCD is what I want and I can use the buttons to changes the sounds (from rain, to wind, to thunder...) thanks so much, time to read up on the I2C controller
