When the device goes to sleep or when the screen is cleared, you can reactivate the screen by reading the Y value of the orientation sensor, such as the smartphone is vertical (80 ° to 100 ° for example)?
I specify that I know how to read and interpret the 3 values of the sensor ORIENTATION.
The smartphone is NOT rooted.

It is possible but it will require holding a partial lock that will prevent the device from actually sleeping.

You need to create a foreground service and acquire a partial lock.
