Read Inbox

Hello,
is there a way to read the inbox on the device.
I want to make an application, which allows me to ONLY read a message, without marking it as read and not automatically send read confirmation.

Maybe other ideas?

Fetch SMS from Inbox.

I have a similar requirement. But I want to fetch sms from inbox so that I can translate the message with my software. I have the dictionary ready. I can send a translated message, translate a just recieved message. But I need to get a message which is already in the inbox. Please help me. I will post it in this forum as an open source app.

That is also not supported. You can only catch incoming messages when they arrive.
