Android Question Reading long text file

While reading a file with the syntax 'File.ReadList' from a file in DirAssets , it takes long time . The text file has 180000 words in it . I have to show the words in a list view . Adding to ListView doesnot take much time . Reading takes much time . Is there any alternative solution ?

Are there 180,000 lines in that text file? No user will ever want to scroll a ListView with 180K items. You should think how you want to show the data. Maybe with B4XTable, or to split it somehow.
How large is the file (number of bytes)?
