Wish recommended list of view/function

"I recommend you to use TabStripViewPager. Looks and behaves better than TabHost."

Now I have noted that Experts have many times suggested one view/function over other, as the new one is better/faster/have more options etc.

For a beginner/novice, can we have a "recommended list" of the latest to use in our projects. This will save immense time and frustration of a developer who is unwittingly trying to solve a problem in old version and then putting query in the forum.

I understand this is not quick job and will require time, but it will help if implemented.
