Recovering designer data

New user of Basic4Android.. Love the software except for my problem which I am sure I am the cause of.

I have created several small and large app's for learning. On every app I have saved, I have lost all the information of my design layout and I have had to recreate them again. This is a BIG pain in the ....

I have no idea what I am doing wrong. I do a save in the designer window and in the Basic4Android app.

Is there any way to recover the data if it happens to me again?

The layouts should never be lost. Are you manually deleting files from the Files folder?
