Yeah, it's difficult to understand why. But I've seen members in the forum swoon over Oracle's low-low price for a vps (or something like it, I don't remember the details).
I am no cloud fan except it is my own like a self hosted Nextcloud. Low price or 0 price cloud offerings are dangerous. A friend of mine is a sales person. One sentence has burned into my brain. A company has nothing to give away.
I do not like Oracle. They may have DB with a good performance but are not really capable handling Open Source projects. We will see how they manage their actual open source projects when we get a recession.
