B4J Question Remote Database connection MySQL on my Webhosting

Recently I have purchase a linux web hosting...where I sucessfully connected my database (Mysql) through PHP. I want to know that can i connect my database via jRDC2. Is it possible or for Jrdc2 i have to purchase java hosting.please guide me.

Can you run java apps on your hosting?
Usually webhosting does not include this. If you are able to run java apps on your hosting then yes.

Otherwise you better puchased a VPS where you are able to run jRDC2.
