You will need to run an online server. You can use B4J websockets for this.

Thanks Erel. i will try this. Is MQTT not a good option though? where the devices(to be tracked, may be 500) publishes its location and devices(there could be thousands) subscribes? it is many to many connection. thank you

Even for MQTT you need a server running too.

But it should be possible too with MQTT too i guess

MQTT is also possible. MQTT can handle thousands of connections.

I profesional in GPS monitoring. The easiest way to control 1-10 devices can be control on request. Your phone sends an SMS to them with a request, they send you a response SMS with coordinates
