I have just read this thread:
https://www.b4x.com/android/forum/threads/b4x-localizator-localize-your-b4x-applications.68751/

It is useful but not as much as this, which you certainly know:

(or as my wonderful tool, for which you can see the link in my signature, of course :D)

So, my (useless, as always) "Wish" is a tool like that, as part of the IDE.

I would indeed find that ideal as well but can imagine that with the existing Excel option, Erel would consider it low priority (if he'd be willing to implement it). I currently use AHlocale in my apps which works fine, but having the option to edit things straight in the IDE instead of editing several 'strings.xml' files would be nice indeed.

I think that the Excel solution is better. It allows you to see all the string resources in a single page. Excel is an excellent tool to maintain such a table.
Erel, your solution looks good but complicated.
Why should the wheel be reinvented again and again if we could use the VS solution?
Everyone who comes from VS knows it and would immediately find the right.

I adapted to read all worksheets. Each activity has a sheet with your strings. Easier to manage.

Do you mean that if you have 3 activities with a button which text is "Close" you have 3 worksheets with a row: "Close" "Chiudi" "Fermer"...
You could have "Close" in many places.

No. I have a worksheet: "common".
close, save, cancel ...

Not sure that I understand. How can you use the VS solution with B4X? The request here is to implement a similar interface in B4X.

I think he meant:

"Why should the wheel be reinvented again and again if we could use the VS solution an interface similar to VS solution (same use, also)".

Exactly
The Excel solution but with the VS solution no similarity, right?

I have to add more.

The "Excel" method is more convoluted and uses an external tool (the b4j converter).

The question is not to imitate this or that development tool; the question is to improve B4X; but if that does not interest Anywhere software, now it does not interest me, now!

This is also my last "Wish"; I do not want to help improve B4X, ALSO because I will not renew my license.

You are the boss Erel, but most other professional packages don't rely on external commercial software to localize strings.
