Android Question resume and pause activity events

Hi Erel

I wanted to know when a network app is created should I disconnect at pause and at resume check for open connection and if false then reconnect?

Secondly when android or ios goes in sleep mode the app stops the app even the timers pause executing as well?

If I send msgs via the outputstream as a keep alive process would that also pause?
