Android Question Route application traffic through vpn connection

I have opened a vpn connection to a router, however my app never utilizes this path. Other apps (not made by me) do this. Any ideas anyone, please?

There is a new API in Android 4.0 that allows you to manage VPN connections. It is not yet available as a library.

I don't think that this API is currently exposed in any of the libraries.
