B4J Question Running a Java App on Mac 10.6.8 (32 bit)

Hi,
Am trying to run an app on my old Mac Mini running 10.6.8 (which is a 32 bit only machine)
Cannot be upgraded to any newer OS.
It has Java 6 by default.
Has anyone managed to get Java 7 on one of these machines.
Oracle says the 10.7 is the base line OS (64 bit)
I have been using the Raspberry Pi but have had lots of OS crashes.
Might be a faulty machine.
My next thought is to go Virtual-box and put on a Linux OS, but this does seem a bit of an overkill.

Yep, that is all I could find. My mini is running the latest I can get.
Oh, well might see if the raspberry can work for more than a day.
