Android Question same name (label), but 2 apps?

say my app label is "BeautifulApp"
#ApplicationLabel: BeautifulApp

I was using a legacy b4a IDE (2.71)

reloading the souce files on b4a 12.5 didn't work, I got an "app not installed" issue on b4a_bridge

so I created a new empty v12.5 project and "copied" the code on the new v12.5 IDE. it works.

but when I install it I get 2 "BeautifulApp", not only the old one replaced as I expected

what is the trick? set the same "Private Sign key" I used?

(for my needs, better not to unistall the old one and install the new one, as I have config files I need to keep)

Android identifies an app by its package name set in Project -> Build Configurations, not by its #ApplicationLabel. So you can have duplicate application labels but not duplicate package names
