Hello everybody,

I am looking for somebody who is able to implement a checkout-dialog 06
scale interface. I would prefer an implementation in Visual Studio / Visual Basic.

A description of the protocol can be found in the attachments and is also availible
under the following link:

For development purposes I can send a scale with RS232 interface within
the European Union.

Kind regards
h725

Hi there, my friend...

are you from Greece... ?

Who/Which exactly is the model and manufacture of Scale ?

Why, you aren't asking for B4J app and asking for visualbasic ?

Please, check the following:

//As I can understand you already selling (or you are a developer at a company), already work with POS and Cash Registers, so you already know that all these companies have a Capture-App-or-Driver selling that always use a same tactic like reading a folder at the system, searching for a text file (that saying into it what going to do/item with item price, print receipt, etc - for cash registers like RBS, Synthex, ELZAB having...) - I think that this driver using the same logic.

I am not saying is not possible to communicate from scratch through RS232, ofcourse is possible... but all these companies using ARTS/unified protocol POS... and may be is difficult to do it from zero.

Ask manuf. or the company selling it in Greece for the special capture-driver..

Also you can check here:

I am doing some similar interfacing, but using serial-over USB to B4J.

The serial-over-USB looks just like serial-over-RS232, eg on my laptop comes up as "COM4:"

Dare I ask why you're after VB dialect code, rather than B4X dialect?

Arrived yesterday afternoon. 🙃

How are you doing and with what device connecting and get all these ?

I think most of this is answered back at linked post:

I think most of this is answered back at linked post:

I see...

Hmm... general "scales" must have a command to hear them continuously... so every time weight changes... must output the selected item/weight and may be price has (or when pressing "print" to give the barcode/price)

But which is the command... first for make the connection, and then "hear" it ?

ps: In old devices I am sure that is way to do that... in new not sure...
