Scanner Library

Hi all,

I have been looking at buying a scan unit which is also a phone. The problem is that the scanner will scan in to a text file but apparently not in to the software. The manufacturers have a Barcode API they have given me but this is out of my skill set. Could someone who is skilled with libraries dll's etc have a look at it and advise on how it could be used.

I guess, from Googling around, that this is a MobileBase product, either MB3000 or MB7000? If so it seems that the OS is CE 5.0 and not Windows Mobile. The demo app in the zip is written for Windows CE 5.0.

Device apps written in Basic4ppc will probably run on these but the Basic4ppc device IDE probably won't - it doesn't run on my WinCE netbook.

There is enough information to guess what the API does, the naming is informative so I reckon about an hours work would get a Basic4ppc wrapper library ready to test - but of course you would need to know how!

Yes you are correct Andrew. Ok well that is good news. I am not too worried about writing s/ware on the device but if i could use it for the scanning that would be great.
If you are able to write a wrapper that would be faantastic. Of course i would be prepared to pay for your time
