Share My Creation Screen to Android

Hello all

Some time ago I made this app, but recently I have totally changed the UI and I have included some improvements and I would like to know your opinion and how it looks on different devices.

The functionality is to see the desktop of your Windows PC in your phone or tablet. Something like VNC, but with my own server.
The server can be downloaded from here: https://sites.google.com/site/mlcscreenserver/download
The example on the web page, uses port 655, but you can use whatever you want.

It can be used via 3/4G, you must configure the port on the router.

Suggestion (which I don't know if it's possible or not): Make it possible to use the Android device as an extra screen for Windows, so that the Windows desktop is extended to it, instead of just mirrored.

Hello Troberg
The idea is not bad, but I would not even know where to start.
It is possible to have an extended desktop, but you must have 2 vga ports. I've never tried it but I understand that if you use the mouse on one screen, you can not use it in the other.

I know how to get multiple monitors under normal conditions, I currently run 3 monitors both at home and at work, and I had, at one Point, 7 monitors connected to one machine.

I suspect that what you would need to do is to make a driver which, to Windows, looks like a graphics driver, but actually just forwards the screen to the Android device. Now, I've never done a Windows driver, so I have no idea if it's hard or not.

Hi Troberg,

Definitely too much work for so little return, many downloads but little money on advertising.
I believe that improvements would not provide a significant increase in downloads.
But thanks for the idea.

Well, for one thing, it would make your app unique. So far, no one has a working solution for this.

This, of course, may be because it's too hard to implement...
