Android Question Scrollview on 1/2 screen

Can someone offer advise please.

I am trying to get a scrolling long input panel on the right half of the screen to work.

I have a panel (which will have a listview) on the left half of the screen and I want a long scrolling panel to input data on at the right half of the screen.

The attached sample shows the left panel OK but the right scrollpanel disappears.

I have tried the ScrollViewBigPanel Tutorial and works OK.

Any advise gratefully appreciated.

This is not perfect (the two main views are not aligned, like in the original project).

As you can see, I created a new layout for the ScrollView panel.
