Android Question SearchView - keyboard hides it no matter what I do

I am trying out this class but am having problems when the view is underneath the keyboard.

I'm using the example Erel posted and the manifest is set

The SearchView example does handle the keyboard state. You can see that the list is resized when the keyboard appears.

The edittext is under the keyboard and I can't see what I'm doing
