Hi,
I am having trouble sending data across a Bluetooth link between two
PDA devices.
I can send serial data back and forth across a Bluetooth wireless link
when I have a PDA device talking to an external Bluetooth Serial Port
module.
Example: HP210 PDA talking to a Firefly Bluetooth module.
I have problems when I try to use two PDAs to send data back and
forth to each other.
Example: HP210 to HP110 (both using Com6)
Example: HP2210 to HP2210 (both using Com8)
When setting the PDAs up using the Bluetooth Manager the
PDAs can see each other and the Serial Port Protocols are
selected.
When I run the same B4PPC serial port software on both PDAs
I can open the Serial Port connection but the data transmitted
from one PDA does not show up in the Receive window of the
other PDA.
But the same serial port program running on a PDA will connect to
the FireFly Bluetooth adapter and when I wire the TX and RX pins
together on the FireFly data sent from the PDA will come across the
wireless Bluetooth connection and loop back around and will show up
in the RX receive window on the PDA.
I figure the FireFly is a Bluetooth slave device and the PDA is a
Bluetooth master device.
I figure two PDAs are normally master devices, is there any way to
set one PDA up as a Master and the other PDA device as a Slave?
Has anyone sent data back and forth between two PDAs ? Does
anyone have any suggestions ?
