Signature

Can someone tell me if we need permission to post/show html / bb code in our profile signature?

You cannot show html. BBCode should work.

I've just put in an external image (in bb code) now in the signature and weird code is visible (not mine) in the forum , although in my profile it shows the image correctly.
It's not particularly important, I was just messing around the other day curious about how users put in links and stuff at the end of their posts.
