Java Question Simple Library Compiler - import problems

I am successfully using SLC to compile several of my old libraries but in trying to use it compile some other library code I am getting "package ... does not exist" errors when compiling. I am so rusty on Java that I have no idea how to overcome this. Ideas welcome!

import android.support.annotation.NonNull;
import android.support.annotation.Nullable;
import android.support.media.ExifInterface;

It is related to changes in Android SDK.

You will not find a jar with these classes. You can however use the IDE to create one for you: https://www.b4x.com/android/forum/t...support-v4-view-viewcompat.83461/#post-528956

You should also add a dependency to your project. Probably:

B4X:

@DependsOn(values={"com.android.support:support-v4"})

Thanks for the suggestion but it doesn't work. stan.jar doesn't include android.support.annotation. This is all a bit strange as the original source code shouldn't need workarounds as the annotations were only added in March last year for Kotlin compatibility and so should be up to date.

Anyway don't worry about it any more as all this is well over my head so I'll give up for the time being

Have asked the same question here about annotation not included in stan.jar but still don't have a definite answer as to why it is not included

Yes Erel. But it is not in stan.jar
Everything else is in stan.jar but for some unknown reason annotation does not get included into stan.jar

You are correct. It doesn't get added to stan.jar because the resource itself is a jar file and the compiler can reference it directly.

You can find the jar here: <android sdk>\extras\b4a_remote\com\android\support\support-annotations\28.0.0

Thanks Erel. Is there any way that it can be included in stan.jar when compiling the references via a b4a project to create stan.jar

No. Only AAR libraries need to be packed there. Just take the jar from the path I posted.
