Android Question Slow B4A IDE when typing

As my code has grown, so the B4A IDE has slowed down when typing. I think the syntax checking, etc. in the background is causing typing to be slow. Is there a way to turn off all the background syntax checking tasks?

Is all your code in the same module? How long is it?

You can check Tools - IDE Options - Disable implicit auto complete to disable some of the IDE features that happen while you type.

Thanks Erel. I've disabled implicit auto complete and it's made a small difference. But the problem persists. The problem starts to show with any module having greater than about 4000 lines of code. When editing code in a large module there can be up to a 2 second delay between making a change and the UI allowing you to continue typing again.

4000 lines of code in a single module shouldn't slow down the IDE.

What is your computer specs?

PC is dual core pentium 3Ghz, 8GB RAM, Windows 7.
