Resolved.
Well as good as I can. It seems its my mail server requiring me to log on to it first, which I cant - even tho I pass my logon details in the initialization.
So I used my gmail account credentials instead - no change to the code - and it works fine...
(Well I had to change the code for UseSSL to True for Gmail account)
