iOS Question [SOLVED] B4XPreferenceDialog - Datefield - Calendar Month language localization ?

Hello,

Does someone knows how I can influence the language of the month names in the calendar of B4XPreferenceDialog field type date ?
-Use local device language settings- in my case german.

And of course also the name of the weekdays

It should happen automatically based on the device locale.

Add a 'de' folder: https://www.b4x.com/android/forum/threads/tutorial-for-localization-of-app-name.69618/post-441789

This way your app will support this locale.

Hi Erel,

Thanks for the hint, but I did this already. I double checked it now and all looks fine, but does not work as expected. Also the files are in format UTF-8. I have attached a small example project, maybe you could take a look on it and find my fault. Thanks a lot.

I was not able to attache the zip file - The uploaded file is too large - 1,7 MB.
Could I send it on another way to you ?
Now it worked to attache the zip file, I've excluded the objects folder from the zip file, hopefully this is okey for you.

But I thought to show local language it would be a little bit easy to realize, more then like Erel has descripted.

I forgot that due to hard to solve inconsistencies, the locale is explicitly set. You can SetDateTimeLocaleToDeviceLocale to set it to be based on the device locale: https://www.b4x.com/android/forum/threads/b4i-v6-30-has-been-released.112121/#content
